Jason grew up on the Bar A Ranch in Quanah, Texas. The Bar A has been in his family since 1897.  After graduating from Quanah High School, Jason attended Abilene Christian University where he received his undergraduate degree in accounting and then a Masters in Accounting.  Upon graduation, he was hired by PricewaterhouseCoopers in Fort Worth, Texas. As his family grew, he longed to get out of the city and soon accepted a CFO position at a rural Central Texas hospital. His north Texas roots eventually called him closer to home where he started a CPA firm serving customers in Childress, Quanah, Paducah, Memphis, Wellington, Vernon and Wichita Falls. After 15 years of living the CPA life, Jason moved his family back to the ranch where he has been helping the family with the day-to-day operations for the last 8 years.  He also began working a couple of days a week at his family’s bank in Quanah and Wichita Falls.  God has also called Jason to pastor at North Groesbeck Church, a small country church established over 130 years ago by his great-great grandfather and a handful of community members.

Jason has always loved the country and small towns of Hardeman, Cottle, Wilbarger, Hall, Collingsworth, Foard, Baylor and Wichita counties.  Living in this area for most of his life, he has gained first-hand experience at farming, ranching, range management, hunting and hunting leases.  With his bank and accounting experience, he knows the commercial side of small-town businesses, commercial cow/calf operations, stocker feeder programs and residential 1-4 family homes. First and foremost, Jason loves God and lives to show that love to others. After God, he focuses on his wife Amy and family.  You can usually catch him playing on the floor with his two grandchildren or hanging out with his five kids living the “ranch life.”
